I'm still at the very beginning, but I'm already thrilled. One lesson in particular really opened my ears: Laura goes through a whole song from her career and explains the mix in great detail. It's crazy how many nuances there are in a good mix that I would never have noticed before. You can feel Laura's passion, perfectionism and closeness to her students. The onboarding, navigation and getting started are very clear. Even the explanations for DB in real life vs digital, as well as gain staging are super valuable. There's no guess work. The Logic modules offer the right amount of information without overwhelming. The other programs I have been a part of don't cover this amount of content I have used GarageBand, and this is my first time using plugins and creating electronic music. It's so much fun! Very different from a live band format, which is mostly my background.

I’m Laura Dre, a synthpop artist and solo producer. I started making music in 2004 with zero gear and absolutely no clue what I was doing.
I went on to earn a First-Class Honours BA in Music Production and released my debut album Moving Spaces on a budget setup, building everything myself from the ground up. And even after all of that, I was still broke.
That’s when I realised I couldn’t wait for permission or opportunities to appear. I ran crowdfunding campaigns, sold directly on Bandcamp, launched merch, and learned how to make the music support itself instead of constantly draining me.
Over time, that turned into more than €75,000 earned as a fully independent artist, with under 2,000 Instagram followers and no label backing.
Everything I teach comes from that journey: from being completely new and not knowing where to begin, from late nights and messy demos, and from slowly figuring out what actually makes a track feel finished instead of “almost there.”
