Level 1: Gear Up & Calibrate
Every adventure starts with the right tools.
You’ll discover the minimum gear needed to start making music, from beginner-friendly setups to more advanced studio configurations. Learn which headphones, computers, microphones, MIDI keyboards, speakers, and DAWs are commonly used by music producers, helping you make informed decisions without spending weeks researching gear online.
Whether you’re working with a laptop and headphones or planning a future studio setup, this level will help you build a solid foundation and get ready to create music with confidence.
Level 2: Navigate Your DAW
The DAW is where your music comes to life. In this level, you’ll learn how to navigate your recording software and understand the core tools found inside every modern DAW. While this course uses Logic Pro for demonstrations, the concepts and workflow apply to virtually any music production software, including Ableton Live, FL Studio, Cubase, Studio One, Reaper, and others.
Through simple hands-on missions, you’ll learn how to create projects, organise tracks, colour-code your sessions, manage files, and build a workflow that keeps your ideas organised instead of overwhelming.
By the end of this level, you’ll feel comfortable opening your DAW and knowing where everything lives, removing one of the biggest obstacles new producers face.
Level 3: Build Your First Song
It’s time to create music! In Level 3, you’ll turn your first idea into a complete song, even if you’ve never written music before.
Learn the basics of MIDI, create chords, melodies, drum patterns, and synth parts, record your first instruments or vocals, and discover how songs are structured using intros, verses, choruses, and outros.
You’ll also learn how to develop an idea from a simple loop into a finished arrangement that feels complete and satisfying to listen to.
By the end of this level, you’ll have created and finished your very first song.

I signed up to the course on a whim as a creative person having a bit of an extended block/crisis, and the fun, neon, 8-bit point-and-click adventure vibe of the course caught me at a good moment and appealed to my sense of fun 😃
It's totally reinvigorated my creativity through playing around with loops, FX, and mixing in the module exercises. I got so into one of the exercises I ended up in a total flow state and created a five minute track that I'm actually pretty pleased with 🤣 I really love the whole vibe! 🤩

Beginner-friendly without overwhelm
The onboarding, navigation and getting started are very clear. Even the explanations for DB in real life vs digital, as well as gain staging are super valuable. There's no guess work.
The Logic modules offer the right amount of information without overwhelming. The other programs I have been a part of don't cover this amount of content I have used GarageBand, and this is my first time using plugins and creating electronic music. It's so much fun! Very different from a live band format, which is mostly my background.
